Overview

Straightforward and flexible

The SR-Q2M makes recording great sounding audio as easy as pressing a single button. You simply switch it on, press Record and you’re rolling! The easy-to-read backlit LCD screen tells you everything you need to know, and LED lights let you know when you’re recording, when the signal is peaking, and when you’re connected through USB-C. Recording levels can be quickly adjusted with dedicated buttons, and volume buttons let you raise or lower the level of the headphones and the built-in speaker.

Plays well with others

Got an external microphone? The SR-Q2M has a dedicated stereo input for it. Want to record line-level audio from DJ mixer or another device? The SR-Q2M has a dedicated input for that, too. Want to connect your audio directly into a camera? The dedicated line output on the SR-Q2M can be plugged directly into the mic input on a camera to record great sounding audio without needing an expensive attenuator cable. It also has a headphone output that lets you always monitor the audio, no matter what you’re doing.

Every must-have accessory is included

Other portable audio recorders make you purchase essential accessories separately, but with the SR-Q2M — everything you need comes in the box. The included MicroSD card has a generous 8GB capacity (and it’s compatible with up to 128GB cards), you get two windscreens: a high-wind furry for outdoor use, and a foam windscreen that will reduce plosive and drafty air noises.  In addition, it also includes the RX-C remote control and a wired lavalier with 6’ cable, making the SR-Q2M an even better value.

Power features for everyone

If you’ve never operated an audio recorder before, the SR-Q2M is incredibly easy to pick up and start using, but if you want to dig a little deeper, it has powerful features on tap. Need to avoid recording ultra-low frequency sounds like footsteps? Turn on the variable low-cut filter. Working in an unpredictable environment? Turn on the built-in limiter and never clip. What to stick the SR-Q2M in your subject’s pocket and discretely record dialog? Plug in the included wired lavalier and switch on the Hold function and avoid unwanted settings changes. Need to mount the SR-Q2M beyond your reach? Control it with the included RC-X remote control. Need to mount the SR-Q2M to a camera cage, small tripod stands or elsewhere? Utilize its built-in metal 1/4 20 tripod thread.
